So the move to the new hosting is complete. We even have mailing lists setup, and the website has a bunch of new pages. I even split up the Growl installation and svn installation pages so that they would be easier to implement on other projects, too. Adium's svn howto is based off the same content.
Developing has kicked into gear, and school is about to for a lot of people. We now have a working prefpane, and are getting closer to a release with Growl. A few things are left, but overall everyone is happy with what we have so far.
What's really cool, is that even though we don't have a release yet, a lot of people say that they depend on Growl. There is a guy on 10.2 who told me that he reinstalled, and that the first thing he installed was Growl. That was really awesome. It's really nice to have something people didn't think they needed, but now don't want to live without. Reminds me of quicksilver, one of the things I use the most.
People even surprise me with what they come up with. A person posted some perl script to the forums today, that looks at order status on apple.com. Hopefully it works for him when it finally ships. And it uses the perl binding too. The fact that we have support for tcl, perl, python, applescript, cocoa, carbon, and some others really impresses me. All the hard work by everyone on the team is really paying off.
We kinda had a bit of a larger squabble regarding expanding bubbles. Some people wanted to have them be capable of expanding the entire size of the screen, others wanted them to not expand at all. We ended up agreeing on expanding the bubbles 2-5 lines, and then having a preference to allow the large expanding. This is all downwards expanding, sideways expanding probably won't happen.
Adium is still a bit off from it's next release, but it's going to be a doozy. A lot of the neat stuff is coming. Hopefully everyone will like it.
